Drama Workshops with their basis in improvisation and devising but including script – delivered by Laura.
If you’re not sure what you want, but are keen to see if it’s for you, come along and try a FREE TASTER SESSION. It may be that you used to act but have lost your knack so would like to start slower, or maybe you just haven’t done that much but want to give it a go. Whatever your reason, this session will start a bit slower and break you in gently.
Come and join a lovely bunch of local budding thespians, who like to mess about, play games, take part in drama exercises and generally have fun while learning how to think on the spot, make up scenes and not be restricted by the script.
You’ll explore scenes, develop strong characters then improvise the content with some idea of the outcomes – Mike Leigh style. Some of our short form games are like ‘Who’s line is it anyway’ if you’re old enough to remember that!
If you have always wanted to try some drama, but are not sure that you want to commit, just pop in and do the bits that you want to, or just come and watch a session. We’d love you to join us – and can guarantee that you’ll meet some brilliant and supportive people along the way.
(Thursday evening Improv Slams also running at the Old Road Tavern 7.30 – 9pm £12.50 (all drop in) on second Thursday of the month
