Drama Workshops with their basis in improvisation and devising but including script – delivered by local actor and drama coach Lisa Southam in 10 week blocks. Each term will have a different focus but as always, we're driven by your ideas and keen to bring out your creative skills as much as possible in every session.
Join a lovely bunch of local budding actors who like to play games, take part in drama exercises and generally have fun while learning how to think on the spot, make up scenes and not always be restricted by the script. You’ll explore scenes, develop strong characters then improvise the content.
If you have always wanted to try some acting but are not sure that you want to commit, just come and watch a session. We’d love you to join us – and can guarantee that you’ll meet some brilliant, and supportive people along the way and be fully supported to be brilliant.
Term 1: Monday 14th September – 12th October 2026/Monday November 2nd – November 30th 2026
Term 2: Monday 11th January – February 8th 2027/Monday 22nd Feb – March 22nd 2027
Term 3: Monday April 12th – May 17th 2026 (no session on 10th)/Monday June 7th – July 5th 2027
(Thursday evening Improv Slams also running at the Old Road Tavern 7.30 – 9pm £13/£8 (all drop in) on second Thursday of the month.
