‘My favourite time of the week’
A chance to indulge, draw and to practice some essential drawing skills in a beautiful environment, guided by someone with over 25 years teaching experience. You’ll use a diverse range of styles and techniques that stretch you and keep you motivated to improve.
All while enjoying fresh coffee and meeting some other lovely local artists. You can work at your own pace and be left alone to draw if this is how you prefer to learn. We look forward to meeting you.
Life Drawing is challenging and rewarding, but like drawing anything else, it takes practice and patience.
The best way to encourage practice is to vary the media and techniques available; to make sure this is feasible, we provide materials for free. This also allows more confidence as using expensive personal materials tends to inhibit experimentation.
You are, of course, welcome to bring your own materials and follow your own path.
Term 6: June 10th/11th – July 15th/16th
Sometimes the session is devoted to a worksheet-style drawing, using many poses on one sheet in different materials. These are a great opportunity to gain confidence in composition, materials and mark-making.
£105 for 6 x 2 hour session term or £20 cash drop-in option (just for our life drawing sessions)
We look forward to meeting you soon.
